Background
Doctor Chapman received his doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland. Dr. Chapman went on to serve four years in the United States Army Dental Corps, including a deployment to Iraq in 2007. Stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Dr. Chapman proudly treated the soldiers of the 82nd Airborne Division. After returning to the Pittsburgh area, Dr. Chapman worked as an associate dentist for over a year before striking out on his own in Lower Burrell. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree as a double major in Molecular Biology and Psychology at nearby Grove City College.
Personal Information
A western Pennsylvania native, Dr. Chapman grew up in Seneca, PA, located in Venango County. The pride and joy of his life is his family. Dr. Chapman has been married over 15 years and has three beautiful daughters. He enjoys all manner of activities including hunting, reading, crosswords, computers and sports, especially the Pirates and Penguins.
Continuing Education
Dr. Chapman’s commitment to excellence is evidenced by his enthusiasm for continuing education. He is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Chapman belongs to the Pittsburgh East Suburban Study Club, a branch of the Seattle Study Club which is one of the most comprehensive and progressive clubs in general and comprehensive dentistry. During his service in the Army he attended advanced courses in oral surgery, oral pathology and diagnosis, and advanced aesthetics. He regularly attends dental courses sponsored by local specialists as well as by the American Dental Association.
